JORDAN AMOROS

Jordan Amoros was born in Lyon, France in 1984. He started Judo when he was 6 years old at the Judo Club S.O Givors and get his black belt in 1999.

At the age of 15 Jordan was recruited by the «Pole France» in Orleans, where he started his professional career in Judo. He spent 3 years training at this high level sports school.

During these 3 years he became 4× Junior National Champion and participated in the Junior European Championships with the French National Team in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

At 18, he was then recruited by the French Olympic Team to train at INSEP. «National Institut of Sport, Expertise and Performance» INSEP is the most renowned National Training Facility for multiple sports and Olympic athletes. Amoros trained there for 14 years.

These 14 years have been marked by medals including 4 French Championship titles in both individual and team events, 3 French University Championship titles and a silver medal in 2007 at the European Championships Team Event in Minsk, Belarus.

Jordan has evolved throughout his career with the help of many distinguished coaches such as:

  • Waldemar Legien, 2× Polish Olympic Gold Medalist and head coach of the Team ''Racing Club de France''
  • Benoit Campargue, European Champion and former head coach of the French Olympic Team
  • Frank Chambily, Continental medalist and head coach of the French Olympic Team
  • Christan Chaumont, Head coach of the Maroccan National Team


One of his many acclaimed teammates include: Teddy Riner, 2× Olympic Champion and 10× World Champion.
Jordan has also competed in other fighting disciplines like Sambo. He is 2× French Champion. He won in 2006 and 2015. He placed 5th at the 2015 European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia and participated in the 2015 World Championships in Morocco.

He also participated in the European Games with the French Olympic Team in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Jordan has also recently fought in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open where he earned a gold medal at the Miami IBJJF 2018.
